Joey & Anne Smith
Joey and Anne embarked on their shared journey on July 13th, 2023. Their story began at the Bethel Church School of Ministry, where they first connected. Back in Brazil, Anne played a role in a movement called “Céu na Terra,” an outreach initiative. This movement gathered hundreds in worship and taught them the importance of spreading the gospel throughout their community. Over time, this movement began sending hundreds of students around the world.
Meanwhile, Joey improved his skills interning under Outreach pastor Nathan Muller during his time at Bethel School. Throughout his internship year, he deepened his understanding of spiritual devotion and service, actively engaging in numerous projects aimed at serving the community of Redding. Together, Joey and Anne are committed to serving their city through their shared passion for ministry.
Dan and Debbie have been together since 1991, in addition they have spent more than twenty of those years serving the Lord and the community of Stockton while raising their three children.
They met and both graduated from World Evangelism Bible College in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Dan also has a master’s degree in Christian Counselling from Church of God Theological Seminary.
Since graduating in 1991 Dan and Debbie have pioneered several outreach ministries in Stockton and the Bay area. They also train and equip for world evangelism leading yearly missions teams to unreached nations, such as Iraq, India, Uganda, Cambodia and more. They also have a Hope City sister church in Delhi, Inda. Dan worked as a vocational instructor for the California State Prison-Solano. Debbie is an instructor for California State University-Stanislaus Wellness Works Program.

As Hope City, we seek to love God, love people, proclaim Jesus, make disciples, and serve our community and the world through the power of the Holy Spirit.
We believe the Church is called to be a place of hope, healing, transformation, and belonging, where people can encounter Jesus Christ, grow in faith, discover their God-given purpose, and become empowered to make a difference in the world.

Our Vision
Hope City Stockton’s vision is to help create an atmosphere for believers to be trained and equipped to walk in their kingdom identity as sons and daughters. The means by which we do this are through the supernatural school of ministry and outreaches. The HCS team have a heart to love and minister to the poor, the needy, the broken and the orphans (those who are literally and spiritually.) We want to release hope over their lives through our outreaches. A big part of the heart of Hope City Stockton ‘s ministries is to see the sons and daughters of God move into their true identity, giftings and potential as followers of Christ so that they can fulfill the destiny that He has for them. We at HCS place a strong value on equipping, activating and sending out both young and old, as well as raising up Kingdom minded followers of Christ.
